My name is Oleksandr Vovchuk. I am a Czech attorney with Ukrainian roots. I hold degrees from the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. During my studies, I also completed an internship at Coventry University in the UK. I began my legal career in 2013, working at renowned Czech and international law firms

Litigation and Administrative Disputes
I will help protect your interests and represent you in court, before government bodies, during pre-trial settlements, and in the recovery of debts from debtors.
Labor Law
I will help you challenge illegal dismissal, recover salary or severance pay arrears, and seek compensation for a work-related injury or accident. I can also draft an employment contract for you or assist in analyzing an existing one.
Protection of Personal Rights and Copyrights
I will protect your honor, dignity, and (business) reputation in cases of violation, such as defamation or breach of privacy. I also assist individuals and legal entities in cases of copyright infringement.
Family Law
I will support you through disputes involving divorce, child custody and maintenance, paternity, and property division. You won’t have to face this difficult time alone.
Compensation for Health-Related Damages
I help clients seek compensation for health damage caused by traffic accidents, criminal offenses, workplace incidents, medical negligence, or other offenses. I also assist in obtaining compensation for damages suffered by loved ones of the deceased when death results from a third party's actions.
Registration and Amendments for Companies and Sole Proprietorships
I will assist you in registering a company (including the registration of relevant trade activities) or sole proprietorship and making changes to a company, such as updates to the charter, organizational structure, or personnel.

Prices
Based on the agreement between the lawyer and the client, the price for services can be determined as follows:
Hourly Payment
The hourly rate ranges from 2,500 to 3,000 CZK, depending on the volume and complexity of the client's task.
Success Fee
In some cases, it is possible to agree on a fee as a percentage of the outcome of the dispute or the value of the subject matter of the legal service. This method is particularly suitable for recovering compensation for health damage, whether out of court or in court.
Fixed Payment
This method of determining a lawyer's fee is used for one-time, clearly defined projects (e.g., registering an LLC). The client pays a pre-agreed amount for a specified scope of legal services. The fixed fee depends on the complexity of the case and the time required to resolve it.
If the price is not agreed upon, the attorney's non-contractual remuneration is determined in accordance with Decree No. 177/1996 Coll. of the Ministry of Justice on attorneys' fees and attorneys' remuneration for the provision of legal services (attorney's tariff). [Available here].
How it works
Our cooperation will usually proceed as follows:
Stage 1: Formulating Goals/Questions and Collecting Necessary Information
At this stage, you describe your legal problem and outline the goals you would like to achieve or the questions you need answered. This can be done verbally (by phone), in writing, or in person. I may ask follow-up questions or request additional documents necessary for understanding your case.
Stage 2: Service Cost Estimate and Prepayment
Once I have all the necessary information to analyze your legal problem or questions, I will provide a cost estimate for the analysis or the next stage of work. The estimate will depend on the scope and complexity of the task and is based on the projected number of hours required (calculated using my hourly rate as outlined above). If you agree to the proposed terms, I will ask for an advance payment in the agreed amount.
Stage 3: Task Completion
After receiving the prepayment, I will begin working on your task. Once the task is completed, I will promptly inform you.
